Asbestos management survey
A management survey is the standard survey, its purpose is to locate as far as reasonably practicable the presence of any suspect asbestos-containing materials in the building which could be damaged or disturbed during normal occupancy or by maintenance and installation works.
The management survey includes a material risk assessment for each positive occurrence, a priority assessment, the extent of the ACMs and an asbestos register in an easy to read format, therefore helping the duty holder to fulfil their duty to manage (Regulation 4) of the Control of Asbestos Regulations (CAR 2012.)
Refurbishment and demolition survey
A Refurbishment and demolition survey is necessary before any refurbishment and demolition work is carried out. This type of survey is used to locating and describe as far as reasonably practicable all ACMs in the area where the refurbishment work will take place or in the whole building if demolition is planned. The survey will be fully intrusive and involve destructive inspection, as necessary to gain access to all areas of the building.
Visual inspections

It is a simple visual survey and will give you an indication of whether there is asbestos present in the property – if there is we can give you advice on management and removal cost.
This survey is not within the guidelines HSG264 standards – it is aimed at giving house buyers/sellers information on cost and any removal if needed.
